The Sculptures are Made of White Paper

Peter Callesen, someone who comes from denmark, is an artist who worked on the statue of a piece of white paper. Most of his work is made from sheets of white A4 paper. Accuracy and precision in the folded paper, making ordinary paper into a masterpiece. The sculptures are usually sold for about $ 4,000.

“By taking away all the information and starting from scratch using the blank white A4 paper sheet for my creations, I feel I have found a material that we are all able to relate to, and at the same time the A4 paper sheet is neutral and open to fill with different meaning. The thin white paper gives the paper sculptures a frailty that underlines the tragic and romantic theme of my works.”, says Peter Callesen who creates paper sculptures by cutting them out of paper with scalpel.

Computer Parts-to-Art Creations

Many artists who use found objects in their works of art have turned to old pieces of technology products for inspiration—either as a form of social commentary or as a way to promote eco-friendly ideas. Over time, this artistic movement has matured from simple works, such as a keyboard button keychain, to socially provocative circuit-board weavings. Below are just a few of the pieces that we think are a chip off the old motherboard.

A Mona Lisa Created from Motherboard Bits

An unexpected tribute to Leonardo da Vinci’s incomparable work of art lies in the lobby of PC maker Asus’ headquarters in Taiwan. It’s a Mona Lisa collage created from old motherboards and computer chips. It’s no patch on the real thing but is still an amazing work of geek art.

Asus designers reportedly dreamed up this Mona Lisa. The work represents two things: a reminder of the technology that Asus built its fortune on and the company’s ethos to encourage and support “any kind of crazy ideas.”
